Web Mapping Applications
The Geography and Planning Web Mapping Applications site hosts a variety of web mapping applications. These applications are facilitated by a new departmental server and use of ArcGIS Server 10 software; an industry standard in web mapping software.
Dr. Wende mix has developed several web mapping applications for the City of Buffalo and she has worked with the Academy for Educational Development to map international education statistics through several ArcGIS Server applications.
She also has a local research interest in the Buffalo house-flipping market. An interactive site was developed to facilitate querying of property tax auction of Buffalo properties. Dr Mix has also examined HUD Vacancies in Erie County. Dr. Wende Mix teaches GEG 485, Web Mapping Applications.
